“Bacon Making 101”, anybody? Chris Carter of Porter Road Butchers will be offering up his professional insights into the art and craft of bacon making at the Bacon & Barrel Festival taking place at the Nashville Farmers’ Market on Friday, 30 September 2016 from 7pm to 10pm.
Bringing together 25 of the best Nashville restaurants and a wide ranging selection of premium spirits, the festival will be a celebration of the South with bacon, BBQ and liquid from good old oak barrels.
Tickets are $44 and include 15 samples – there’s also a cash bar if that’s not enough for you…
At 7.30pm, Pitmaster Carey Bringle of Peg Leg Porker will be showing off his skills and techniques demonstrating how to prepare and devour a whole hog. Bacon Making 101 follows at 8.15 pm and at 9.15pm Chef Josh Butler of Food Fanatics, US Foods Atlanta will give a presentation titled “Know what bacon you’re buying”.
The festival benefits Hands on Nashville (HON), an organization that connects volunteers with opportunities to help non-profits and other local good causes throughout the Middle Tennessee area.
