The Germantown annual tradition since 1980 is back for the 2016 Nashville Oktoberfest!
Around 200,000 attendees are expected and general admission is FREE.

This year the VIP access areas have expanded with the VIP Lounge offering free catered food and beer, free access to the Oktoberfest Beer Tasting Garden which includes unlimited tastings in a three hour mammoth session. Don’t forget to take home your complimentary commemorative 1 liter Nashville Oktoberfest Stein.
Advance tickets cost $79 (1 day VIP) or $109 (3 day VIP). Both tickets include one beer tasting session.
What to expect at the 2016 Nashville Oktoberfest:
Oktoberfest Parade– The annual parade will be led by our own Nashville Mayor, Megan Barry! The fun begins at 1.00pm on Saturday, October 8th, on the corner of 7th Ave North and Monroe St. As usual the parade is absolutely free to attend!
Beer – Beer tasting tickets can be purchased on the day or are included in the VIP Pass. There will be 10 breweries featured showcasing 18 different beers in addition to the 8 beer stands serving the classic Munich beers of Paulaner and Hacker Pschorr. This year will introduce Nashville to more German beer than ever before! Once the tasting session is over, all the beer gardens will be fully open to the public as cash bars!

For purchase on the day there are upwards of 35 German, international and other specialty food vendors including some of the most popular food trucks in the Nashville area. This year will be the biggest Oktoberfest food offering ever.
Arts & Crafts Fair – This Oktoberfest will showcase over 110 unique, specialty arts and crafts vendors, including members of the Tennessee Arts and Craft Association. Admission is always free at the Oktoberfest Arts & Crafts Fair, so head on down to Germantown and peruse the best of Nashville Crafts.
Nashville Oktoberfest 5K Bier Run – Amazingly, this is the 17th Annual 5k and is currently the 2nd largest 5K Run in the whole of Tennessee! The race through the streets of Downtown Nashville starts at 8.00am on Saturday October 8th. Free t-shirt for all participants and a few other benefits. Early sign up for no entry fee!

Kids Fun Zone – Storytellers, performers, face-painting and the ever popular huge outdoor inflatables and kids activities – all weekend! Some activities are paid but many are FREE!
Pup Parade
Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:
- Best German Costume
- Best Costume (Dog & Handler)
- Best “Naked Dog” – No Costume (Leash Required)
- Crowd Favorite Dog

Winners in each category receive:
- $100 Gift Card from Red Rover Pet Services
- Free Dinner for 2 from a Germantown restaurant
$15 pet entry fee per dog. All proceeds benefit local non-profit Crossroads Pets – Shop and Adopt.
Dachshund Dash – Takes place on Sunday. Wiener Dog races with all proceeds to benefit local animal rescue charity.
The Nashville Oktoberfest is spread out over nine blocks in the historic neighborhood of Germantown just outside of downtown. The event caters to adults and kids of all ages. An entire street will be dedicated to children’s activities and feature a Kids Zone, sponsored by Nashville Parent Magazine.Another big draw is the free live music. There are three separate music stages at the event – each featuring German music and famous Oktoberfest Oompah bands.
